The angel said to the shepherds, ‘Do not be afraid; for see - I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people ...’ Luke 2.10-11

Everyone and all ages are invited to be a part of bringing Christmas Joy to Backwell!
On 20 December 10.30am to midday come along to the Christmas tree outside the Spar Shop in Rodney Road for a fun time of community carol singing. Even if you think you can’t sing, come along and greet your neighbours over a free mince pie and hot drink.

The ‘Christmas Joy’ event will include:
-
Communal carol singing
-
Children-focussed Christmas songs
-
Backwell bell ringers playing carols on hand bells
More programme details will be added here closer to the event.
Refreshments will be available - hot drinks and mince pies. Have the first drink and mince pie free, on us!
Children – contribute to our ‘Christmas Joy’ board. Come and decorate a star with your Christmas message, then place it on the display board for all to see!
‘Christmas Joy’ is brought to you by the church communities in and around Backwell. We are grateful for support from:
-
Spar Shop, Backwell
-
Backwell Parish Council
The above describes our current plans. However, the organisers reserve the right to amend the content and scope of the event at any time, including curtailment or cancellation at short notice due to bad weather.
