Welcome
St Andrew's and St Bridget's are CofE churches serving the communities of Backwell, Chelvey and Brockley.
Together they form the Benefice of Backwell with Chelvey and Brockley, which includes St Nicholas Church.
The process of finding and appointing a new Rector has started, but during the vacancy the Benefice is supported by our lively Ministry Team, working alongside the church family and buoyed up by prayer.

Electoral Roll - The electoral roll revision period will commence on Sunday 31 March 2024 and will close on Friday the 19 April 2024. During this period the electoral roll, as it currently stands, will be available in a folder on the table by the south door for anyone wishing to review it.
In addition to the electoral roll, you will find blank application forms, should you wish to be added to the roll. Please return the completed and signed forms to the Church office by Friday the 19 April by no later than 13:00 to ensure that your name is added to the revised roll.
Any errors identified on the roll should at once be reported to Phil Hockett directly or via the Church office e-mail address admin@saintandrewsbackwell.org.uk, with the subject "Electoral Roll".
Should you have any other queries regarding the revision of the electoral roll please contact the church office or Churchwardens.

Our Vision
Our vision is to love God, love our neighbours and encourage discipleship as we seek to extend the Kingdom of God.
The rota of Sunday Services in the Benefice includes a variety of worship styles.
At St Andrew's there are three traditional services and three informal services. The informal services start at 10.45am. The traditional services are at 9.15am or 10.45am or 5.00pm. It is all a bit confusing so see the Weekly Sheet for more details or click on the calendar button below for everything.
Safeguarding in the church community – making our churches safe for children, young people and vulnerable adults – is important to the churches in the benefice, and is everyone’s responsibility.
If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires immediate medical attention call the emergency services on 999. Do not delay.
